Korte samenvatting / Short introduction
Intellistener is an experiment in the remediation of radio. Specifically spoken radio: conversations, narratives, interviews. It is set up to investigate the result of recasting this medium and see what new possibilities this brings for both the maker and the listener. The first goal of this research is to develop an application to linearly annotate audio, i.e. to add remarks and comments at specific points in the timeline. Next an audio archive would have to be made accessible and searchable on the basis of these annotations. Eventually the computer will be able to generate -hopefully meaningful- compositions from these audio fragments.
